The Overlooked Problem
As focus on North Korea rages at an all time high and for the even greater informed concerns over the situation in Venezuela are a pressing discussion point. Not to mention Russia, Brexit and others. Overlooked remains a significant crisis and the dearth of attention is stunning. That is the immediate and swift isolation of Qatar and its impact on both American interests and global interests in the Persian Gulf. I am truly appalled at the lack of attention this has received. Imagine if the U.S. had cut off ties to Nicaragua, forced of all its citizens to leave the country (and no, this isn't an illegal immigration discussion), cut off all travel to that country, etc. The outrage and request for explanations would be deafening! And it the attention on the ongoing situation for those that do discuss it relegate it to little more than the infamous "intelligence community" must know something as it relates to state sponsorship of terrorism which is why this is happening. Maybe...... but considering the military interests and impact on the energy markets I have great concern the public will be playing catch up when this situation boils over trying to understand how this happened.
